Turf Teaching at the UF/IFAS WFREC
Equipping Turfgrass Managers has been a primary focus at the UF - Milton Campus. Students receiving B.S. degrees in Golf and Sports Turf Management have been placed across the Southeast U.S. Careers include golf course superintendents, landscape maintenance contractors, sales and support professionals, and sod production managers. Graduate students trained at the WFREC also are highly sought after. Dr. Unruh often states that all levels of his Turfgrass Science program are an educational enterprise - from the students to the technicians. This philosophy is known throughout the industry and his support staff have been recruited by large companies where they have proven to be valuable employees.
